Wesley's Owl Hat

I finished this Owl hat a little over a week ago. Wesley has already worn it in. I'm so proud of this hat! I love it! Everywhere we go Wesley gets so many cute compliments. Makes me feel so happy :)
This hat took me a total of 4 hours to do. Not bad. The hardiest part was the owl's beak. And I thought that was going to be the easy part?!?! For some reason I just didn't get the strings in and out easy. I had to redo it a couple times. "It has to be prefect!" I'm pretty sure I say that way to much while knitting or crocheting! Adding everything onto the hat probably took me almost two hours. I changed my mind so many times on the beak, eyes, and ears. Everything came together very well. I'm glad I finished, just in time for Spring. Now that I am done with this hat it's going to be so easy to make other owl hats for friends and family. The joys of making little wee-ones hats!

Wesley & I at Squeeze In for breakfast with the family. First time Wesley got to show off his hat :) He is such a cutie pie in his hat! Love. Love. Love it!!

Next hat project? Yes the elephant! Can't wait! Off to getting more yarn Friday. I need a better gray. Jo Ann's here we come...

Crocheting & Knitting Crazy!!!!

So many projects!!

I love this eggplant hat OMG!

It looks a little tricky. I think I can do it. The top looks easy but hard? I always find that the hard part somehow turns out to be easy.

I need to make this Owl rattle before Wesley gets to old for rattlers! Now this looks tricky. But I'm going to try with all my might to do this. Gosh I love Owls!!!!!! So stinking cute. I truly can't take it. This is happening now!

Now time to go make some organic baby food for the little man <3

Thank you Whole Foods! I love you!

~Enjoying my Friday afternoon

Spending my Friday afternoon being myself. It's a Friday. I have no need to go out and play with the girls or get all dolled up. I'm going to enjoy my afternoon and night with my wonderful man and our handsome baby boy. Sipping my yummy green tea with fresh lavender and honey while listening to Frank Sinatra feels so great!!! Both my boys are snoozing away. The house is quiet. I love it! hehe.
I'm so excited to finally get Wesley's owl hat done! I always work on hats while also doing a large project. Hats are so fun and easy to do. You can't have enough hats right?!?! I just love this elephant hat. I do believe this will be my next hat project. Just without the pink ;) I will probably add blue and add a cute little face. Yay for hats!!

Obsessed with Knitting Owls!

I am 100% obsessed with knitting and crocheting anything that has to do with owls! First of all I just love knitting and crocheting anything. Once I finish my sons Owl hat, this will be my new project! I can't wait. I go through a weird funk where all I want to do is knit and crochet then I'll suddenly stop. I'm so lucky to be able to knit and crochet at the preschool. I sit back, watching the wee-ones sleep so peacefully, and work on whatever project I have at the time. Oh how I can't wait to start this!

My boys!

I have two wonderful boys in my life. My wonderful fiancé Tyler & my breathtaking son Wesley. They make my life whole. Everyday is a new journey with my two wild boys. I have been enjoying watching Wesley grow up. I can't believe he will be 7 months old tomorrow! This age is very exciting. More and more everyday he laughs more, smiles more, and is starting to really move around more. I just want to enjoy every moment of his life right now. Tyler and I could just sit back and watch him all day long. Which indeed we do :) I love my life & my boys. I cannot wait to get married this August 2012 to my best friend! As we sit here watching the Flintstones like we're kids & our baby taking his peaceful nap is feeling I never want to go away. And the fact I know I have many more wonderful years of this puts a warm feeling in my heart.
